石田徹也 Memorial Print 2023

生前、石田徹也のプライマリーギャラリーであった当画廊は、作品の所有権および版権を正式に保有し、本プリントを制作しました。
今回のメモリアルプリントは、2000年以前に制作された社会風刺をテーマとする代表的な作品2点、
《物色／Selective Buying》、《不安な夢／Restless Dream》、さらに石田晩年の傑作として知られる《リハビリ／Rehabilitation》を収録しています。

プリントは石田徹也の直筆のペインティングからの画像を用いた高画質のデジタルプリント（Giclee Printing）です。それぞれのプリントの裏面にはエディションナンバーと当画廊の印鑑と代表者のサインが入っています。日本の伝統的な美濃の和紙で作った日本伝統の着物用のラッピングカバーを用いている事も特徴の一つとなります。これらの作品はいずれも、2023年にニューヨーク、ガゴシアンで開催された石田徹也展に出品された重要作品です。

Tsutuya Ishida Memorial Print 2023

Wada Fine Arts, the artist’s primary gallery during his lifetime, officially holds the ownership and copyright of these works and has produced this memorial print edition.
This edition features three significant works: two early pieces created before 2000 that explore themes of social satire—Selective Buying and Restless Dream—as well as Ishida’s late masterpiece Rehabilitation.

Each print is a high-resolution giclée print, made from direct digital images of Ishida’s original hand-painted works.
On the reverse side of every print are the edition number, the gallery’s official seal, and the signature of the gallery director.
A unique feature of this edition is its traditional Japanese wrapping cover, crafted from Mino washi, a handmade paper traditionally used for kimono wrapping.

All three works were important pieces exhibited at the Tetsuya Ishida exhibition held at Gagosian, New York, in 2023.
